About Johanna

Johanna has been working in fitness and wellness since 2005, and has worn many hats – all of which she has loved.

She has managed a personal training department at a gym in Baltimore, worked as a wellness program manager while in grad school at The George Washington University, and worked for the USDA as a Senior Research Assistant at the Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center. Currently, Johanna teaches classes and trains clients in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, she does fitness testing and nutrition consulting work with BodySpec, and offers corporate wellness workshops by request.

Fun Fact

In the summer of 2013, Johanna and her husband rode their bikes cross-country. They went from Virginia to Oregon on an epic journey that lasted 84 days and covered 4,440 miles. Check out some pictures here or watch the whole crazy video.

Johanna and her husband moved from Washington, DC to Santa Monica, CA in 2014, and have since welcomed their son Conan and daughter Gwen into the world!
